I woke up late morning, naturally just by the sun was shining through the windows. Daniel and Kim went to a picnic bench to do work and relax, last night we had spent the night in a overnight rest area. It was just outside of Santa Fe. So once we were all ready we headed into town. The cell service was really good at the rest area, but as we got closer to Santa Fe the reception depleted to where in some parts of the town there was no service. The theater we were playing at had reserved us parking so we didn't have to pay nor drive around for 10 minutes looking for parking.
Molly one of the investors for the movie had booked the whole group into a fun house/haunted house/escape room/mystery. We all got wristbands and began to explore the huge building. There were small secret passages you could find. I opened the fridge door and was shocked to see a hallway. There were so many different rooms and secret doors that even after an hour of exploring I was almost positive we hadn't seen the full Meow Wolf complex. Once we were all tired and sore from walking around Daniel, Kim, and I were dropped off at the Plaza where we met Ben. I hadn't eaten a huge breakfast so
I was really hungry, so after checking out a few different restaurants we sat down at one and ordered some food. While we were waiting it began to pour outside, you didn't see that every day in the summer, the air got really fresh and the outside was cool again. Once I got some food in my stomach specifically tacos then I was feeling a lot better.
Daniel and I headed back to the RV and charged up our electronics. At about 6:00 Daniel, Ben and I headed to a different theater a couple blocks away (no we aren't traitors) to watch the new Spider Man. I'm not gonna spoil anything don't worry, but i would definitely say it was one of the best Spider Mans Marvel has created. I recommend to go watch it, of course after you watch Phoenix, Oregon. When we got back to the Q and A it was just wrapping up but there was still quite a few people still in the theater. Next up on our tour is San Antonio. We have a couple days to drive down to Texas so stay tuned for our adventures on the road to Texas.
Wow Tara - this has become a daily addiction for me...seeing how the Piper Clan and the movie are doing. Your writing, good to begin with, is getting even better - more descriptive and evocative.. Kudos. A very good friend of ours once said, "if you do something every day, you're going to get good at it!". You are an example of that. It would be interesting to know what some of the comments and questions about the movie are, if you can do that without giving too much away. :). Keep it coming! I love it.
