Day 37, Riding the Town Trolleys

There was a Whole Foods just about 11 blocks away from our Rv park so once Daniel, Ben, and I were ready we left Kim alone to work and we walked out to the Whole Foods. Whole Foods had been bought by Amazon so there were a lot of Amazon Prime deals there. We were a Amazon Prime member so we got some great prices on the fruit that was sold there. We shopped for almost an hour and our cart was getting full. Being sane human beings (for the most part) we didn't want to carry the multiple bags back to the Rv by walking so we called an Uber and got a ride back. Kim had been arranging plans with the rest of the group to go on a trolley ride out to the garden district to look at the old mansions and cemetery. By the time we made it to the city trolley my stomach was beginning to ache pretty strongly.

We got off the trolley at our planned stop and went in search of some water for me. We found a cafe and we all got some bottled water. I sat down at one of the tables and drank the water. Kim gave me a foot massage because there were pressure points in your feet that were good for the stomach or something like that. Flannery wanted to go to a crepe place half a mile away and Kim wanted to check out the cemetery across the street. They decided to let me rest while they would do a loop and then come back and check on me. They came back 10 or so minutes later, I had ordered a hot tea and bagel from the cafe. My stomach was beginning to feel better but I wasn't sure if it would stay that way if I started walking. Kim said she would walk back to the cafe once they made it to the crepe place. So I rested and ate my food while they were gone. Right before Kim came back I was feeling a lot better. So Kim and I got back on the trolley and headed back into the French Quarter to check out H&M again.

Riding the trolley was amusing, some of the drivers were nicer then others, but they were fun and a lot nicer then walking. We made it to H&M and looked around a little. Tried a few things on, and then bought some items. My school shopping was beginning to start. I had to use the restroom and since H&M didn't have one we went down the street to a taco shop and used theirs. We also bought a couple tacos, the restaurant reminded us of a burrito place called Parilla Grill in Bend. At least until the last employee. Parilla Grill was one of our favorite restaurants to go to in Bend, you would self make your own burrito by telling the employee exactly what you wanted them to do with it. This place was the same, except at Parilla Grill the service was very polite and fun to be around and the last worker gave us a different impression. She was surprisingly rude, maybe it was just a bad day but when we left we were laughing because of how grumpy she had been.

We hopped back on the trolleys and when we were about 5 blocks away from our Rv park it began to rain. We exited at our stop and suddenly the rain picked up. We ran through the rain and tried to get to a trolley stop but the nearest one wasn't for two blocks. We ran along side a trolley trying to get in but the driver refused. Laughing we ran through the rain getting soaked. We were almost to our Rv park when we got a text from Ben. It was time to go to the theater to set up the merchandise. We made it back just in time. Kim headed to the theater while Daniel, Flannery, and I stayed at the Rv park and headed to the hot tub to relax. Within minutes of entering the water it began to thunder out. We counted the time and just to be safe exited the water. We had a few hours to kill until all of our parents returned in the other Rv. We headed back to the remaining Rv and read books or ate. The rain hammered on the roof loudly. I peeked out the window and to my surprise the rain instantly soaked my face. Lightning lit up the sky and thunder rumbled seconds after it. No need for AC tonight I thought. Next up on the Phoenix, Oregon Movie Tour is The Springs Cinema and Tap house in Atlanta, Georgia playing at 7. See you there!
