Day 42, What a Day!

Last night after the movie had finished screening we had earned a free bowling game from the Beach Side Bowling Center. When we first arrived we saw that the parking lot was very dark, making us consider asking if we could just park there. Once we played a game and chatted till basically midnight we asked if it was okay.

And I thought mornings couldn't get worse. We had boon docked at the bowling alley and in the morning had discovered that a kennel was next door. It was the barking at the 7am feeding hour that clued me in.

After breakfast we headed into downtown Wilmington, famous for its old style architecture. The four of us split up into two groups. I walked around with Ben, we found some yummy chocolate and met up with Kim and Daniel at the Pepper Cupcake Bakery for some vegan cupcakes. Chocolate avocado icing never tasted so good,

We then drove around to the other side of the river to check out the North Carolina Battleship. Daniel and Ben hiked up the gangplank and explored while Kim and I rested in the lobby to the gift shop. I wanted to go to the beach, but Ben wanted to go to the YMCA, again. I'm getting a little bored with the Y. He did have a good point that the beach sun would be easier a little later in the afternoon. So, after the Y, we were off to Carolina Beach!

Incredible waves, even better than yesterday. Warm water. We all body surfed until we were totally exhausted. The best part was that unlike Wrightsville Beach, the Carolina beach had public showers right next to the beach. We got backed to our RV washed and ready for the evening.

Originally we were going to head straight to an RV park but Ben was on the phone with his brother. We split up the last cupcake while he wasn't looking. Kim insisted on saving his share. I was glad we did because after his phone call, he suggested going out to Thai Food for dinner.

After walking several blocks we found the restaurant packed. We waited a bit, and then got a table outside. The food was delicious,

IF you want to herar about the antics getting our RV park after dinner, comment below.

Otherwise, tomorrow night we are screening in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. See you there!
