Day 44, 7 Different States

We woke up just to get back on the road. We had stayed in an Rv park last night, Kim woke up about thirty minutes before our estimated departure and shut off the AC. I hadn't realized how loud it was until I heard the peace and quite that followed the shut off of the Ac. We left before I had even exited the Rv. I never had even looked at the Rv park. Later in the day I din't even remember what town it was located in. That's what happens when you get in late and leave early. Today we had multiple hours of driving to cover, so we started early, it was basically impossible to comprehend that tomorrow we would be in Maine.

The distance between us and Philadelphia slowly diminished, I thought about the guinea pigs back home, I felt oddly similar to them. They were stuck in a small little area for days moving from one location of there cage, to another. Getting food having a drink of water then going back to a little fuzzy blanket to sleep. When we were driving it sometimes felt like that. Lay down in the bed in back, sit at the table, sit up front, eat some food drink some water, use the bathroom. I was thankful when we arrived.

In terms of traffic and parking Philadelphia was worse then Portland. When we first were arriving our lovely google assistant had the great idea to take us through this slim little street. Apparently google hand't caught on yet that we were in an Rv. The street was one way, with a lane for car parking, One of the parked cars just so happened to be farther out from the curb then all the rest of the cars. Daniel hopped out and made sure we had enough space that we wouldn't hit the other car. We were just a inch two wide. The only way we could get out was to back up. Thankfully right before we turned the car into reverse the driver of the other vehicle came out and moved her car closer to the curb. I wasn't exactly sure how she knew we were having trouble but just thankful she did.

Eventually we found parking, the lot was close to a Y so we headed down to the Y, I took a nice long shower and the rest of my family worked out for a little while. I was pretty hungry so I had a snack before we went to the Liberty Bell. The bell was in a very secure building, we had to walk through a scanning machine that they have at airports to get in. The whole place reminded me a little of Washington D.C. The bell was really cool, there was a line to take pictures in front of it so of course we waited and took some photos. We them headed to a pizza place for dinner and then to the screening Q and A. One of the musicians that had played music for the movie was in the audience. He had played some of the main songs that Bobby listens to. After the screening we attempted to set up my bed. We were planning to drive either all the way to New York or most of the way just to take a hit out of tomorrows ride. Kim and Daniel had to work together to fully pull the pole of the table. It was a nightly routine that always took some work to achieve but today it took over 5 minutes. Anyway tomorrow is a break/driving day but soon after that there is a screening in Portland, Maine. See you there!
