Day 49, Starting Home

I woke up ready to leave, it was kind of funny how whenever we stayed in one place for to long we all started to get ancy to start driving again. At about 9 my grandma came by to give us all goodbye hugs, she told us that she would come out and see us before to long. Then we drove to my grandpa's house and gave him goodbye hugs. Then we began our way down to New York. We were going to stop in Attleburo to say hi to some of Ben's family. We parked a few blocks away from their apartment. We brought a watermelon into their house and cut it open and shared it with everyone. Janie and Tiki were like parents to Ben because he grew up with them. So you can imagine they were so happy to see us. They shared stories, we shared stories. Over an hour passed of just catching up. We told them that we would visit again before too long. Then we continued driving. Daniel told us that he had to be home by the 19th to be entered into his high school soccer team. That was kind of the tip of the iceberg for us. All of my family had some things that they needed to be home for sooner then later. The tour wasn't going to arrive back home until very late August and we all needed to take care of or do stuff in mid August that required us to be home. Including the fact that school started on the 4th of September, and personally I wanted to have more then a week to prepare myself for 8th grade.

So my parents made the decision to split off from the tour and head home faster. I was in charge of making our trip back more fun and interesting so I set up a map of the locations we were going to stop at on the northern side of the U.S. (I'll put the link below if you want to check it out, and please tell us if there are any cool sights to see that we didn't include on the northern side of the United States). We all felt kind of bad leaving the tour early and Kim told Annie she would continue talking to theaters if they reached out. We would be attending the Amherst screening but that would be our final screening. We were headed to an Rv park about an hour away from our location. Daniel was driving, and Kim was navigating him to the park. This Rv park was right by the Erie Canal. When we arrived we took a little walking break and then started making dinner. Tomorrow we would have about 3 and a half hours to drive to make it up to Amherst, New York.
