Surprisingly even to me, the highlight of today was going to the YMCA in Madison, Wisconsin. So yeah today was another major driving day. Not that I didn't like getting hundreds of miles behind us. I knew the more we drove today the less we would have to drive in the future and the closer we would be to getting back to our house. Today we left our latest Rv park a little past nine. We had camped in a lakeside rv park just west of Chicago. Kim and I left the Rv and decided to find the lake. There was a little pond by our parking spot and part of me thought that maybe that was the 'lake'. Turns out there was an actual lake down a little path. There were paddle boats that you could take out into the water, and it would have been fun to do if we didn't have to start driving. I saw a giant frog leap out from under the dock when we walked out onto the floating piece of wood. The frog was gigantic!
Madison, Wisconsin was a couple hours away, we got to the YMCA there at about 12. We all hadn't worked out in about a week, so we had a nice good workout there. We were there for over 2 hours, the fact that we had completed a nice workout made sitting in an Rv for 5+ hours more bearable. Daniel and I sat up front for a while and played the Rv family playlist, before we had left for the trip all of us had added our favorite songs to a playlist so whenever someone wanted music we could just play it. The road was very well kept and clean cut, there weren't any big potholes like we had been seeing. Periodically the road would be shifted into one lane. I figured they were re-furnishing the road or something. Ben and Kim were sitting in the back. It always made them happy to see the kids up in front navigating or driving. The tank was at a quarter so we took a pit stop at a Shell Gas Station. The surrounding landscape was all farmland. There were probably thousands of windmills just spinning around and around for as far as the eye could see. They were all you saw in front of us, behind us and on both sides. The windmills went on for miles. I wasn't sure why there were so many but hoped that whoever bought them all had a significant reason for needing thousands of windmills.
We pulled off the highway and found the Shell. The tank was full but our personal food tanks were nearing empty. So we parked with the semi trucks and made some dinner. We didn't want to stay at the gas station for to long because of the time crunch of wanting to get to the Sioux Falls KOA before midnight. We ate and then took some fast shifts on the cleanup. Before we knew it we were back on the road. Miles flew by, and we noticed a ton of red blinking lights on the horizon to our left. Hundreds of synchronized lights flashing on and off. Nobody knew why or what they were. Make sure to stay updated on our location by checking out our road map! Link below!

We did finally figure out what the red blinking lights were oh, they are on the windmills!
Awesome writing Tara. It is great to see what you are doing and where you are. Thank goodness for YMCAs. Did you get any cheese? I love aged cheddar.
